Description

Available in two models – Round and Rectangular shape with cast iron or stainless steel top. This is a heavy duty heating plate with a removable cast iron plate / Stainless steel Plate at the top. The housing is made of mild steel sheet and finished in powder coat paint. A heat control switch for low, medium and high heat or energy regulator and two nos. indicating lamps are provided on the front panel. The hot plate has a maximum power consumption of 3.0 K.W. The unit is de-signed for operating on 230 V. Single phase 50 C/S. mains.

This apparatus is suitable to heat Flat bottom Soxhlet flasks. Heating plate is made up 4 ” Dia Heavy Cast Iron & having grooves to accommodate nichrome wire heating element which is embedded with Porcelain Insulation Beads. Housing is made of M.S. & finished with Powder coated Paint. The housing has two retort rods and a cross bar on which the extraction apparatus has a built-in regulator which controls the heaters.

The heating plates have individual on/off switches and a pilot lamp to indicate working of the elements. The apparatus requires a 230 Volts AC single phase supply.

CONSTRUCTION

Insulation : Double walled chamber, inner made of stainless steel and outer made of Cold Rolled Mild-Steel Sheet duly finished in powder coating. Insulation : Inter space in between walls is tightly packed with CeraWool / Mineral wool.

Trays : Inner chamber accommodates perforated stainless steel trays at adjustable heights. Door : Insulated double walled door in the front is pro-vided with locking arrangements.

HEATING AND CONTROL

Heating : Heating Is done by Finnds type air Tubular heater/Nichrom Coil.
Control : Temperature is indicated and controlled by range by a Digital Temperature indicator-cum- controller working in conjunction with FEK sensor within operative range. Built in control panel accommodating all electrical/elec-tronic accessories is provided at the side of the chamber.

Round Vacuum Oven offered feature double walled construction with inside chamber constructed using thick stainless steel 304 finish as well as outside chamber constructed using mild steel sheet in greased, pre-treated as well as powder coated finish so as to provide for superior rust proofing standards. The use of high grade glass wool insulation that is provided between chambers also helps in preventing heat loss as well as in achieving uniform drying through vacuum.

Construction :

The general design and construction comprises of an Outer chamber fabricated out of thick cold rolled mild steel sheets. Rectangular in shape placed horizontally with opening in the front. Refractory Muffle of required size forms the inner chamber. This is surrounded by ceramic fiber blankets on all the four sides and the rear to reduced size forms the inner chamber. The chamber is provided with a single door with 100mm thick ceramic fiber insulation mounted on heavy duty hinges and provided with latch. The furnace is heated by Kanthal Al heating coil wound in spiral form on the muffle embedded in high grade refractory cement and backed by ceramic fiber blankets.

The temperature inside is maintained at any desired level within the op-erating range by a Digital Automatic Temperature. Indicator-cum-con-troller working in conjunction with a Cr/A1 thermocouple housed in the hot zone.

Control panel: Consists of temperature controller, Air Break magnetic contactor, indicating lamps, and isolator. The furnace is finished in at-tractive power coat finish.
